Imola Raceweek Revisit- Race

The 2021 Imola GP was full of ups and downs. It was a heartbreak for some and a joyful occasion for others. Nevertheless, it was a very captivating race. It was action-packed and fun to watch. I am sure all F1 was watching from the edge of their seats. Let's look at some of the eye-catching moments from the race.

Max Verstappen's phenomenal start

Max Verstappen is known for his wet weather driving, battles pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton toward turn one and comes out ahead.

.Nicholas Latifis Crash

Nicholas Latifi spins off into Aqua Minarali and rejoins the track but crashes out due to an incident between himself and Nikita Mazapin.

Mercedes disaster on Lap 31

Lap 31 is a lap that all Mercedes fans and personnel would want to forget.

Lewis Hamilton spins

Lewis Hamilton spins while overtaking backmarker George Russell, a Mercedes Academy Driver, as he went onto a wet patch.

The mishap between Valtteri Bottas and George Russell

Valtteri Bottas and George Russell are the two contenders for the second Mercedes seat. The theatrics between George Russell and Valtteri Bottas continues after the race in Bahrain in 2020 as both have an enormous and costly crash.

Charles Leclerc running in the podium places for quite some time

After Ferraris below-par season in 2020, it is clear to see that Ferrari has taken a step in the right direction. It was impressive to see Charles Leclerc fight with the Red Bulls, Mclaren and the Mercedes on pure merit rather than luck. Considering that Charles radio was not working after the red flag P4 was an amazing feat.

Lando Norris finally clinching the P3

Considering the shambles of a season Mclaren had in 2017, they have been on an upward scale since. They worked their way up from P9 to P3 and have closed the gap to Reb Bull massively.

Max Verstappen finally breaks his rather famous "Italian Curse" and wins the race.

In Max's F1 career he never finished in the top 3, in 2020 he did not complete a single race in Italy. But he has finally broken that curse, and WON the race!

Concluding the article, I would like to remind you all that, after all these years we finally have a title fight on our hands!!
